First Blog. . .

Okay, so here's the first blog for us. Hopefully the next entry will include pictures of our new baby who should be arriving any day now (please let him arrive soon!!). But for this one we'll just set the mood. I bet I'll figure out how to post pictures so you can see our dear ragamuffins. Yep, there's our Jeffey, he is 8 and adores Cub Scouts. He's a great big brother and his sisters like him a lot. He is really looking forward to finally having a brother though!

Here's Jeff and Leah, she is 7 and loves school, reading, piano, and is a big helper to me. She is a sweet girl.

Here are Jeff, Tessa, and Alana. Tessa is 5 and in kindergarten and LOVES it, sometimes she accidentally calls me by her teacher's name. She is an entertainer and makes the funniest faces.

Alana is 3, almost 4 and she is sure she is in charge of us all. She is a funny little girl, she is impressing me lately with her new ability to write her name. None of the bigger ones were interested until they went to preschool but Alana has been writing hers. I probably just didn't show the older ones. She is a fun kid, scrawny though.

Last picture for today. My Dad with the kids, he and Mom were kind enough to take the kids to the park while Ryan and I went to the temple on Saturday. Yeah!! I figure it will be a while before we can go again. It was lovely and I'm so grateful to have such wonderful parents who are so willing to help us! Plus the kids had a great time!

So I was reading my journal today from the last time I had a baby, almost four years ago. Apparently I was a bit nuts! We had four children, none in school yet and a couple of weeks after we had Alana, Ryan went to Scout Camp for a week. Judging from my journal entry I missed him a lot and our children were. . . more work than they are now. I am ever so glad we have each of our darlings and I am SO glad they are older now and less needy, and I'm glad I did that hard part when I was young (and apparently not too bright!). I think my experience with this baby will be very different than what we encountered with our older children.
