Halloween!

Are there any mothers out there who actually like this holiday? I'm telling you, if attempting to make people happy with their costumes doesn't get you the candy will. . . However, I am a sucker for punishment so here's the picture.

There was sort of a theme to our costumes, we had three zebras (my mom made those costumes about a quarter of a century ago, not too shabby, eh?), an elephant (borrowed from Amanda who made it a couple of years ago), a cheetah - she had a tail sewn on those pj's, a hunter (to go after all the bounteous game in the area), and Super Dad (Ryan went as himself). This picture was taken at the end of the evening, we looked a bit cuter a few hours before this but this was the first opportunity I had to gather everyone together for a picture.

I've hidden all the candy in my closet, they'll never find it :)

I think the animals should be running, the hunter looks pretty serious. Too funny. I love the animals. No, mothers did not invent Halloween :). Candy and sugar that seems to last forever. Surly not a motherly thing to suggest!

I love it!! I get it all! Even the super dad, John would not dress up either.

Halloween is confusing to me. Spend tons of money on something they will only wear once, buy candy, and have people annoy you all night by ringing the doorbell.

Then you have out of control kids for about a month because of the amount of sugar in their system. Oh, and don't have them eat the candy they can trust, but have them eat candy from strangers.

Happy Freakin Halloween!!

But you guys were sooooo cute and a woman with a 7 mo old that can fit in that skinny suit really is super woman so Ryan's costume makes perfect sense:)

I knew your house was a zoo :) You should charge people tickets. Does Ryan scale buildings in a single bound?

I'm glad you were determined to get this shot. It's a slice of your very real life in the midst of your wonderful family! Jeff's shirt was part of a costume Ryan wore when he was that age. Maybe you can pass these costumes on to the third generation of Halloweeners... :-)

I actually really like Halloween. I like it even more now that I have a birthday party to celebrate.

But I have pretty set rules about costumes and candy, so that helps!

All right! What is with the sexy zebra in the middle? Dang lady! You aren't supposed to look that good after having a baby! Especially after your fifth!

I have to say that I want to be that next year! I love that idea.
