I took Ryan on a tour of the camp and showed him the Addies that our ward always stayed in. I showed him where Margie got a spider on her head and ran thru camp screaming and taking off her shirt. Good times. . .
It was fun to learn more about Scout stuff, since Ryan is the Young Men's President in the Ward he has a lot of responsibility to those dear boys. He does a great job and they like him a lot.
After the training sessions they took us up to the old Archery range and we got to shoot some arrows and throw some hatchets. I actually did okay with the archery stuff, I only had to take the "walk of shame" (as Todd Westover called it) into the woods to retrieve one arrow.
Peter got to play with Pammie Allen. One man asked me if they were twins (her mom, Shiloh was shooting arrows at the time), I said that Pam was two weeks older. He then asked if they were both mine? Hmmm. Yes, they are, it was the worst labor ever!
Here's my cutie shooting arrows. Isn't he dreamy? He even managed to shoot them without having to split his fingers to hold the arrows. I don't know how he did it.
As a man of many talents he is also able to throw a hatchet and hit the target and get it to stick into the wood. I could only manage two of the three.
Pete and Pam ran out of steam. Aren't they darling? Makes you want to just squeeze them!

Those babies are so cute and yes Im just want to squeeze them. I too enjoyed a little Camp LoMia in my youth, the memories there are never forgotten.
How fun!!
Oh Lomia... If only we never had to leave and grow up :). That would be fun to show the hubby around girls camp! The babies are adorable and do look a lot alike... that would be a torture labor though (too funny that he even asked after you said 2 weeks apart).
Glad you had a good weekend and got to do some awesome archery :)
That was absolutely hysterical that the man asked you if they were both yours. If the answer had been yes then you should have been in all the magazines and you should fire your doctor.
A weekend getaway. Good for you....but scouting? Seriously. JK
