So I looked at it and pulled out the scissors, it was really in there good and while I appreciated that her lovely hair would look funny with an inch and a half tuft sticking up on her head, I was kind of sleepy and I wanted to go to bed. Fortunately I thought of waking up Ryan before I performed the separation procedure. He was just as confused about it as I was and there was much laughing and teasing all around, but he quickly got down to business. I recently told my nephew Phillip that Uncle Ryan can fix anything, including clouds, so he has a lot of expectations to live up to.
He quickly took the drill apart and that helped relieve lots of the weight pressure. The patient was uncomfortable but in good spirits, the Doctor was confident of a good outcome, and the nurse (me) kept pointing out the scissors. We talked about checking the Dewalt website, or the FAQ board, or Ask Jeeves, but we weren't quite sure how to phrase the problem. . . Eventually Ryan just sort of gently pulled the thing loose. He did a great job and her hair turned out looking fantastic.
We rejoiced, we watched this, Ryan put the drill back together, I gave her a few scrunchies and sent her home.I'm going to have to sleep with one eye open or she's going to make a habit of coming over and I'll wake up to find my face drawn on and my fingernails painted, my hand will be placed gently in a warm bowl of water. . . Please Amanda, use your powers wisely and remember, you sleep during the day and I have a key to your house. Love you!
Also, see below for a funny JibJab I made of the kids. They are cute.

That is hilarious! Ryan-the master of all trades. Very talented husband you got there.
I hope Amandas hair is okay-too funny!
Ok, Im at work cracking up. Really?? I thought I was the only one who had adventures/freak accidents/like that. (Like the time the neighbor saw me in my weekend underwear because of a stove blowing up.)
What is 'weekend underwear'?
Allison, great story and adventure, you should be getting paid! Can you send it to GG, she would love to see it!
Amanda, you are very blessed to have a sister with such an amazing husband!
Mom and I are going to pitch in on a curling iron, strightener or whatever she needs. That way Nunu does not have to use power tools anymore.
Too too too funny!
Arnon is extremely upset that she missed such a great "I Love Lucy" photo op. She would like to make an appointment to recreate it for her final project.
Allison, tell your mom that my weekend underwear were not my nice pretty ones. That was before I went through the temple for my G's (as Bridgette calls them)
You girls...Hahahahaha! I am still chuckling.
Thanks for documenting my stupidity, Alli. I went home and finished the project in about 30 minutes. It looks great. My hair will recover. Ryan was great, Alli was a little too quick to suggest the scissors.
Thank you Amanda for conintuing to entertain us, and thanks Allison for the wonderful pictures. I think I'm still shocked you didn't just cut it out Amanda.....
Grandma Bateman here!
That is too crazy!! Amanda what a cool chick you are! Turn off the drill, get in your car, drive to Alli's and calmly lay your head on the table and say "fix it"! I laugh every time I think of it! And Alli thoughtfully taking pictures for us all to see!
Good thing you had your hair a little shorter or the poor drill would have never recovered!
Love ya Gram B
That is too funny!!!! Oh my goodness. I have always loved Amanda . . . and now I have another reason!!!! :) Still laughing!
And that is what sisters (and brothers in law) are for! What super heros, all of you:)
