Day 10

We started up in the mountains and we ran out of frontage and dirt roads pretty quick as the highway was built through the rock and the terrain quite rough and exaggerated. So he resorted to our favorite, running on the highway. It was mostly downhill which was nice and traffic was light but it’s not restful that’s for sure. But he made it down safe and we made our way to Kingman over some crazy hilly dirt roads. I tried to stay with him as much as possible but it was pretty rough. I don’t love it when a road appears to be a road on the map and satellite view but it is not a drive-able road. But he was fine.

My parents re-appeared as the sun was headed down and we got to talk to our missionary as Ryan set off on his last few miles in the dark in south Kingman.

We got him his favorites after a run; a huge Mountain Dew fountain drink, no ice and a Reese’s Blizzard then we set off for the hotel in Laughlin because they are cheap and it was only 35 miles away! It was good to scout the route beforehand and not too long to drive to the LAST DAY’s starting point.
